Keep It Safe

Romy & Laure… et Le Secret de l’Homme Meuble, Romy Alizée & Laure Giappiconi

Welcome to the world of the COURTS + QUEER MAIS TRASH Festivals.

To ensure that everyone can fully enjoy our events in a welcoming and respectful atmosphere, we’ve established this code of conduct. These rules apply to everyone: audience members, guests, film crews, volunteers, collaborators, and the festival team. In short, to anyone involved, directly or indirectly, in our festivals.

Why a Safe Space?

From our very first edition, we have been firmly committed to combating all forms of discrimination: racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and more. To preserve the inclusive spirit that is so important to us, we expect all participants to adhere to the code of conduct detailed below.

To ensure our festivals remain a safe and welcoming space for everyone, we expect attendees to:

  • Respect the physical and moral integrity of everyone.
  • Report any incidents of harassment or discrimination—racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ageism, or ableism have no place here (and are illegal under the law).
  • Remain respectful: indecency or inappropriate behavior toward anyone will not be tolerated.
  • Avoid disrupting screenings, whether through illegal recordings or noise.

In summary: respect and kindness are the keys to enjoying the unique atmosphere of the COURTS + QUEER MAIS TRASH Festivals.

If you witness or experience behavior that violates this code, please report it to a team member. Every report will be taken seriously and, if necessary, forwarded to the appropriate authorities.

Thank you for respecting these rules so that together, we can continue to celebrate what defines the essence of the COURTS + QUEER MAIS TRASH Festivals: underground and independent cinema in an environment of exchange, sharing, and, above all, respect.

We look forward to celebrating underground cinema with you.
